There's something that's been bothering me. I see so many people (not necessarily on devArt) defend the position that trying to make a drawing look exactly like a photograph does not make the finished piece "art," but rather an impressive technical skill. This is incredibly rude to those who put so many hours into their work, only to have some yuppie come up and say, "I can just take a picture of that!" That seems to me to be on par with looking at a Picasso and saying, "My kid could draw that." Many people say photo realism is not art because it has no expression, no creativity or meaning behind it; you've just copied something. Why not just

Just adopted two little pit bull mix puppies :heart: One is two months old and the other is maybe two and a half, but a lot bigger! The little one's name is Paisley, haven't decided on the other. We bring them home on Tuesday or Wednesday after they're fixed :) I'm struggling through horrible college decisions and class stuff...plus major art block..so these little puppies will be a welcome reprieve.

Very nearly passed my driving test! I did perfect except for taking a turn too fast, which he failed me with <.< Oh well, I'll pass it next time in two weeks!
